The Maritime Organisation for Eastern, Southern and Northern Africa (MOESNA) successfully convened a regional stakeholders’ workshop on the implementation of Port State Control for inland waterways on Lake Victoria and Lake Tanganyika. The two-day event, held from 10th to 11th April 2025 at the Sheraton Hotel in Kampala, was officially opened by Mr. Bageya Waiswa, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Transport, Uganda.
The forum was attended by representatives from Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Burundi.
